Battery InvertersSolar Inverters Battery Inverters Inverter/Chargers
Battery inverters convert the DC voltage from the battery bank into AC electricity.
The battery inverter only discharges the battery (unlike an inverter/charger) and is usually deployed in small to medium size off-grid power systems. When the battery voltage drops below a threshold, the inverter will simply shut down (to protect both appliances and the batteries).
As a household's energy consumption can be very volatile, a decent battery inverter has a generous "peak rating", up to three times the "continuous rating". Such peaks often occur e.g when the fridge kicks in or the washing machine starts turning.
All our battery inverters are described by their continuous rating; check the specks for peak rating and other details.
