Since 1997 we published many a newsletter covering government policies on renewable energy, incentives like feed-in tariffs (or the lack thereof), energy saving products, solar cooking & heating, tips and tricks by experienced users of stand alone, off-grid solar systems – just to name a few topics.

The information provided is often based on personal experience from RPC staff, as well as customer feedback of which there was plenty. Your own experience may differ from what you find here (e.g. energy consumption of your favourite washing machine). Feel free to contact us for comment.

When browsing through our old newsletters please keep in mind that technologies (and in a few instances even governments) have moved on, and some information is outdated, maybe even conflicting with today's standards.

New Communication Channels

Another thing that has changed is the way society reads and distributes news. 10 years ago email was considered the best tool for mass-communication. In 2011, there are social, business & news platforms, personal or professional web logs ("blogs") about pretty much everything, forums, chat rooms, instant messaging services and appointment coordinators; files are kept in "clouds" and software is now called "app".

RPC has decided to cease its email distribution for renewable energy news. You can follow us on Facebook or read our Australian Solar News updates. As our inboxes fill up quickly (mostly with spam), we assume so are yours. If you want Solar News you know where to find it.
