Washing Machines

Washing machines are becoming more and more of a 'problem' load on inverters. The makes and models change so frequently that it also makes it difficult to recommend something to a customer. In general terms, we are reluctant to recommend running any modern machine on a modified square wave inverter. Do any of you have any success stories to tell me about in this regard? In terms of ones not to run, we'd advise running an Asko brand unit and the Simpson Enviro 130 on any generator or inverter (sine or modified). The Fisher & Paykel does operate successfully on the SE10 sine wave inverter and draws a small 88Whr per load. However, this brand does use a lot of water if your supply is limited.

Cheers from Dave and all the RPC crew.
