Australian Tax Office and Solar

Power Used by Evacuated Tube Hot Water System
A few months ago I wrote an article about how much power the pump used on a tube type hot water service. During the fairly warm month of March it used an average of 148Wh/day for one person or 190kWh/day for 2 people using the hot water.
Interestingly it used an average of 264Wh/day during our cold month in June. This is for one person.

Desert Knowledge
The $3.1m Desert Knowledge Solar Centre showcases and demonstrates a range of solar panel technologies in commercial scale installations. It is located near Alice Springs in the harsh Australian Outback. Data for the past several months shows that the Kyocera panels performed best out of 5 crystalline panels under test. Check out the results.
Installation
We do recommend that installations be carried out by a Clean Energy Council accredited person. Otherwise we suggest using someone like and electrician, auto electrician or technician as it is a skilled job and even 12Volts can start a fire etc.

We install solar systems in Northern NSW and Southern QLD.
QLD:
Gold Coast (from Coolangatta to Southport), Nerang and Hinterland (Beaudesert) and out West (Warwick, Stanthorpe, Killarney)
NSW:
Northern NSW (Tweed Heads to Yamba, including Evans Head, Byron Bay and Ballina); the Far North Coast Hinterland (Grafton via Lismore to Murwillumbah) and out West (Casino to Tenterfield, including Drake and Tabulam, as well as Woodenbong and Bonalbo)
For larger system we also go up to Brisbane or down to Coffs Harbour and even Glen Innes. Other places by arrangement.
