The intent of this page is to present
ways you can print the documents posted on this Web
site. While hyperlinking to this site is highly recommended
because it is frequently updated, many of you would
like a printed copy. Some have asked why the FAQ was
divided into smaller Web pages. The answer is because
the FAQ was becoming so large that some readers were
experiencing time-outs when trying to view them using
their dial-up Internet connection. The choice was between
eliminating some of the graphics or breaking up the
FAQ into smaller pages.
17.1. Printing or Saving With Graphics
Open the Web pages using a word processing
program, like Microsoft Word, that supports .htm
or .html files and use the program's Print command.
If you want to save the Web pages, copy them into
one document and used the Save As command.
This is especially useful when you want to concatenate
or combine a number of Web pages.
Use your Web browser's Print or Save
As commands, for example, in Internet Explorer,
in the under the File button in the upper
left hand corner of the Web page. Printing directly
from your browser some portions of the pages could
be cut off, so reformatting is recommended.
17.2. Printing Without Graphics
Use your Web browser's Save As command, for example,
in Internet Explorer, the Save As command is under the File button
in the upper left hand corner of the Web page, and save the Web page
as a text (.txt) file.
Print the text file using a word processor, Notepad,
Workpad, DOS Print command or a text editor.
