101 Uses for a Sundaya Kit
We are receiving orders for all sorts of interesting applications for using the Sundaya kits. They have been primarily developed for use for village lighting in the Developing World. Other application for the Sundaya kits include:
1) Lighting up the backyard gazebo, pergola or garden shed.
2) Horse Stables, chicken sheds, rabbit hutches, kennels
3) Emergency lighting pack during grid failure
4) Camping
5) Cane Toad Catcher
6) Driveway lighting
7) Yard lighting
8) Security lighting
9) Laptop power in the field
10) Remote Wireless LAN/Wireless Internet base stations.
Access points in general run 1amp @ 12vdc, you'd need a unit that can supply that sort of load for 24 hrs. In addition to that, there are many DC computers available, up to 2 ghz, and they use at most 80watt at 12v, couple that with an LCD and you've got yourself a low powered server/terminal.

11) The Sundaya battery pack can also be used as emergency power-out backup not only for red-vision lighting and motion detection, but also electronic door locks, digital video recording and other automated security; once you add a computer, the programming is totally up to a person. Useful for the paranoid folks who assume ninjas are going to attack their houses and cut the mains.

12)We have fitted A S4 battery pack , 50W solar panel using the standard kit
frame to our 350 tonne coastal ship. It powers the HF, VHF marine band
radios and VHF Company band radio. This installation allows the use of the
radios when at anchor in remote areas, without using the auxilary
generator, back up charging is by way of a voltage reducer between the
ships 24v system and the S4 battery pack.
Hope you find this suitable to help you on the way to 101 uses. Best Regards,
Mick Maybury.
Well, we have a long way to go to reach the 101 uses so send us your ideas!
The kits with a wide selection of lights are very versatile.
Timers or motion detectors can also be used for specific applications.
