Grundfos CRFlex Solar Surface Pumps

The CRFlex is a surface or inline pump system that offers unparalleled flexibility for rural users and communities. They can be used on solar, grid or generator power.

Grundfos Benefits

Easy Installation
Solar surface pumps can be tailored to your application and local conditions. The system is remarkably easy to install and simple to use even under the most difficult conditions.

Virtually No Maintenance
The built-in protection features for the pump motor as well as the frequency drive ensure a low maintenance solar surface pumping solution.

Cost Efficient Pumping
Designed for continuous as well as intermittent operation, solar surface pumps are especially suitable for where cost is all-important. Once the initial investment in the solar surface pump solution is made, the operation costs are minimal.

CRFlex System Features

Each system consists of a Grundfos MGFlex motor and a CRN pump. The motor has a wide voltage input range (both AC and DC) and, when run on DC power, utilises Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function for optimal performance. Furthermore, the CRFlex system is protected against:

  • overloading
  • overheating
  • dry running

They are ideal for small scale irrigation, stock watering, pressure boosting or water transfer. The pump must be shielded from direct sunlight, rain, hail, or snow. Enclosure rating: IP55.

System Sizing

All you need now is a power generator. Most solar panels will do the job as long as they are stringed up correctly and deliver 30-300V DC and enough power. Please have a look at our example solar powered surface/inline pump systems.

We are Open for Business

Rainbow Power Company would like to assure our customers that we are trading (not quite as normal). System designers are working from home and can customise a quote for you (free of charge) over the phone and online. We are still dispatching and posting items, with safety precautions in place. You can still order online or over the phone, and pick up items from RPC (our show room is closed however, and appointments must be made to pick up orders). We are still doing site inspections, keeping the recommended social distancing.
