Price Rises
There have been substantial price rises on batteries and cable as the price of lead and copper has risen substantially on the world market. Prices in our web shop have been updated. You can also email us if you need a new Price List.
New Product - Watt Hour Meter
We now have a 230V watt hour meter in our range. It should be installed by an electrical contractor and has two applications for our customers.
If you have a grid feed system and would like to measure the gross output of your inverter, then this meter can be installed between the AC output of the inverter and the input into the Utility meter board.
This applies particularly to those who have used a Latronics PV Edge inverter installed on Country Energy meter boards. (Some other inverters do monitor the output and some Utilities monitor the solar input to the grid as opposed to net metering configuration).
A second application for this meter applies if you are receiving a RRPGP grant (in Australia) in excess of $10,000, because your system must be capable of measuring the kWh output.
Edit: 22.6.11 - product no longer stocked.
New Product - Mains Power Meter
One might describe this 230V Power Meter as the baby of the previous meter. It is designed for the home-owner to measure the current, peak current, power factor and kWh. It can even measure how much your appliances cost to run. Its most amazing feature is its price. Check it out.
Edit: 30.4.13 - product no longer stocked.
Cheers from Dave and all the RPC crew.
