Battery Boxes - Battery Enclosures

Unless you can spare an entire room, batteries should be protected by means of a ventilated enclosure. Most batteries emit a flammable gas (hydrogen) once charged beyond ~70%; hence they must be separated from any potential spark source. The most cost effective way to achieve this is a passively ventilated battery enclosure.
Our battery enclosures are vermin proof, lockable, and comply with Australian Standards. They should be positioned in a dry, vibration free location and not be exposed to direct sunlight or temperature extremes. If installed inside a house or shed, ventilation pipes should penetrate the walls to vent the hydrogen gas. Keep in mind that deep cycle batteries are heavy and need to be placed on a structure that can take the weight.
