Grundfos MTRFlex Semi-Submersible Pumps
The MTRFlex is a semi-submersible pump system which - in combination with Grundfos' float assembly - makes an ideal floating pump for dams. The MTRFlex can be used on solar, grid or generator power.
Grundfos Benefits
Easy Installation
Solar surface pumps can be tailored to your application and local conditions. Supplied as a plug-and-go solution, the system is remarkably easy to install and simple to use even under the most difficult conditions.
Virtually No Maintenance
The built-in protection features for the pump motor as well as the frequency drive ensure a low maintenance solar surface pumping solution.
Cost Efficient Pumping
Designed for continuous as well as intermittent operation, solar surface pumps are especially suitable for where cost is all-important. Once the initial investment in the solar surface pump solution is made, the operation costs are minimal.
MTRFlex System Features
Each system consists of a Grundfos MGFlex motor and a vertical, centrifugal multi-stage submersible pump (MTRF). The motor has a wide voltage input range (both AC and DC) and, when run on DC power, utilises Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function for optimal performance. Furthermore, the MTRFlex system is protected against:
- overloading
- overheating
- dry running
Applications
They are ideal for small scale irrigation, stock watering or water transferring from a dam. The float holds the pump under water while keeping the motor above the surface as well as shielding it from direct sunlight, rain, hail, or snow. Enclosure rating: IP54.
System Sizing
All you need now is a power generator. Most solar panels will do the job as long as they are stringed up correctly and deliver 110-415V DC and enough power. Please have a look at our example solar powered floating pump systems.
