Our Solar Camping Kits are compact and "road worthy" power systems that fit in small compartments. These systems can light up your tent, van or caravan, charge your phones and/or tablets, run a TV, and a DC pump.

The systems are supplied as DIY kits and exclude cables and brackets/framing (if applicable). If the vehicle's engine is to be used as additional charger for the solar battery, a battery isolator is required. Caravans also need a DC optimiser to regulate the voltage drop.

Suitable for casual, short-stay campers who want some comfort when going bush. Serious campers or nomads who also want to run a refrigerator may need a larger system (unless you hit the road every day and charge the battery while driving).

This small solar system is ideal for those who love weekend camping without a big rig. Most vans (pop-top) and tent trailers just don't have the roof to support a fixed installation. You may also need that roof rack for the kids' bikes.

In addition, the yield from mobile panels is usually much higher than from fixed panels - if the position is adjusted from time to time.

The Portable Solar Kit will power a few lights, tablet and phone chargers, even a laptop.* The kit can be upgraded to include a small 230V AC inverter.

Caravan Solar Kit

The caravan kit is a 12V power system with 300W battery inverter. It will run a few LED lights, a radio, laptop, TV and a DC water pump.*

The kit also includes a DC-optimiser - required to utilise the towing vehicle's engine as battery charger for the batteries located in the caravan.

As roof mounted solar panels will have to withstand strong head winds and constant vibrations, we highly recommend a professional installation.
